We had a blessed time in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the all the new member’s that have joined the body of Oasis of Hope Baptist Church since May 2022. The event was opened up with prayer, an icebreaker game of “Get to know others bingo”, and all enjoyed a delicious spread of pastries, muffins, and donuts with various drink options. Pastor Duff and First Lady Sohn’a Duff opened with remarks on their first interaction together and how they met at Ball State University. Pastor Duff led off by sharing with the new members of his vision for the church. Including, adding a small continuation of the church’s current Mission Statement: Building God’s Family by Transforming Lives Through the Word of God. Sister Betty Owens, Director of Christian Education shared the church’s history, and Deacon Harry Campbell shared the importance of knowing your spiritual gifts that God gave you and using them for love and not for personal gain. There were several ministry leaders who shared an overview of their ministries and all new members received a colorful folder with a packet of brochures of the rest of the ministries of Oasis of Hope Baptist Church and a small gift bag. The fellowship was wrapped up with questions and answers session and closing prayer by Pastor Duff.
